How to deep clean a PinterUpdated a month ago
If you find yourself needing to deep clean your Pinter, not to worry! It is very simple.
To deep clean your Pinter, it is recommended to clean the interior with a warm soapy soft sponge, paying attention to each removable part, such as the Active Pour Tap, Main Cap and Brewing Dock.
Afterwards, follow the Purification instructions in our app but extend the Purifier's duration to 10 minutes, instead of 10 seconds. It also helps to use warm water in this stage as well to help dissolve the Purifier granules.
Once completed, let some of the purified water drain from the back of the Pinter through the Carbonation Dial set to OFF, Hopping Inlet, and the Active Pour Tap, making sure to run as much as possible through the tap.
This is to ensure there are no residual remnants or bacteria from the previous brew hiding in your Pinter.
While the Purifier is a no-rinse steriliser, if there are any residual granules of Purifier left in your Pinter when you put a brew on, this may negatively affect the taste and we would advise you not to continue drinking a brew if it tastes "chemically" A small rinse with fresh, cold tap water after Purifying won't contaminate the Pinter in any way.
Remember, it is essential that any surface that comes into contact with the brew at any stage needs to be completely sterilised. If it isn't, this could potentially lead to your brew becoming infected.
