My Main Cap is stuckUpdated a month ago

As the Main Cap is designed to be really secure in order to keep all that liquid in place, we've found that they can sometimes be a bit tricky to get off at first, but this should get easier with every use.

A tip that we've found useful is to put a utensil (such as a wooden spoon) through the handle and use the leverage from this to twist the Main Cap. Pouring some warm water over the cap can also help to loosen it, or soften any solidified brew that may be causing an obstruction. Please also make sure that your Carbonation Dial is set to 'OFF' to ensure that a vacuum of pressure isn't created within the Pinter.

If this doesn't work, then there may be dry sediment inside your Pinter from your last brew. In this case, we'd recommend filling your Pinter with 2-3 litres of hot (not boiling) water by pushing in your Main Cap's umbrella valve and pouring the water in. Once the water has been added, flip the Pinter so that the Main Cap is submerged.

After 10-20 minutes, the sediment should have dissolved from around your Main Cap and with the help of a utensil your Main Cap should come straight off.

Here is a handy video demonstrating these steps.
