Attaching the Brewing Dock to the Pinter 3Updated a month ago
We’ve found that sometimes the Brewing Dock can be a bit tricky to engage at first, but they often get easier after a few uses.
Firstly, please make sure your Main Cap's handle is sitting completely flat against the Pinter. Secondly, it helps to ensure the Main Cap and the Brewing Dock Seal are wet when trying to attach - apply a little water to add some lubrication.
PLEASE NOTE: It is NOT recommended to use any other lubricants on the Brewing Dock as this can cause weakness and damage to the seal.
We'd also suggest trying to connect the dock while the Pinter is on the floor rather than on a table/work surface, making sure you apply pressure to the ‘dome’ shape in the centre of the dock while twisting it into place.
If that doesn't do the trick, our next suggestion would be to try attaching the dock with the Pinter upside down, but definitely make sure the Pinter is in the sink or away from anything that could be damaged, e.g. not on a carpet or a rug, as there's a small chance some Brew may escape while doing this.
When you've filled your Pinter, attach the Main Cap and ensure it is secure. Place the dock on the surface or floor, and lower the Pinter onto your Brewing Dock in the brewing position. The weight of your brew should help your Pinter engage with the Brewing Dock.
Here is a handy video showing you these methods in action.
